Adoring these Cold Weather Comforts featherbeds and Josie Style for the Home

The mercury will barely be in the double-digit range today across Coastal Ohio and the Lake Erie Islands. There is a wind advisory and the sun is shining! Cold weather and ice doesn’t have to equate to all out inquietude. Find glee in the gear. Here’s what I can’t live without for these next couple of weeks starting with my first generation iPad.

The iPad was given to me as a Holiday 2010 gift. I use as a Kindle for reading. I just downloaded three new books last night including Settle for More by Fox anchorwoman Megyn Kelly. $9.99 gives readers a month of unlimited downloads.

Next to the bed I have a Josie Style for the Home white faux fireplace. Here the hearth not only emits ambiance, the furniture acts as a bookcase, and this time of year is appropriate for knitted stockings (twenty-year vintage Macy’s). (Stocking holders are vintage Kroger Co.) Originally designed for space in Chester Avenue Lofts in downtown Cleveland to fill in blank space, this home element, The Chester Fireplace equals upscale Ohio.

Bucci Busys one local Barista breakfast staple made at Leigh Ann's Coffee House

Ordering a Starbucks in the Florida Keys is simply sinful. That company is headquartered on another ocean located two time zones away. On the sub-tropical islands south of Miami Cuban and Caribbean cuisine; and, as in this case coffee, reign. At Leigh Ann’s Coffee House on Key Colony Beach the baristas are busy taking orders of cafe con leches and making shots of bucci. We go back behind the counter and start grinding the beans.

Relax with an 88 Relaxer behind the bar at Marker 88 Restaurant Gulfside

There’s a drink being made and served up to patrons from as far away as Canada at this local Florida Keys establishment in Islamorada. The drink is called the 88 Relaxer and is made with infused-spiced rum, plenty of fruit juices and a host of other
islandy-ingredients. Whether you’re on the property for breakfast, lunch or the world-renown sunset, this cocktail puts the Caribbean in anyone’s Caribbean vacation.

Blue Marlin Jewelry Sculpture Unveil Get Lucky Friday, February 13th 2015

The Islamorada Fine Arts and Cultural District has a new neighbor, Blue Marlin Jewelry. Owner, Armando Gonzalez moved to Mile Marker 81.5 Oceanside with only a courtyard separating him and Art by Pasta.
This Art and Cultural District is now home to some of the county’s, and nation’s, most revered artists and businesses. On this particular Friday in February the crowd witnessed the Pasta art sculpture unveiling for the Florida Keys’ only authorized Rolex dealer.

Cooking with Chef Carl at home in the Florida Keys

Chorizo oil, crab and couscous can take the most basic chicken breast and turn the poultry cut from bland to delectable.

Marathon High’s culinary instructor, Carl Stanton and I get crankin’ in the kitchen to show you how to make Chicken Roulade with couscous, chorizo oil, guava, habanero and a rum butter sauce.

These flavors are oh-so Caribbean and oh-so delicious for dinner.

Paradise josie koler est. 1977

This is the first and the last post about muah. Me, me, me. Today’s my birthday and I did not conduct an interview for this latest news report. I spent the day, on day three, traveling across the country from the Florida Keys to Ohio’s North Coast.

Today on my birthday, Josie in Paradise was born. An interactive information site about the fabulous lifestyle from Cleveland and the North Coast, where the water is unsalted. Then, to Key West and the Florida Keys where the salt life rages.  My plan is about to unfold.

The company bears my name but, after this, the site won’t be about me. I’m just your host.

The stories will either be about you, or effect you.

Two systems of islands. Two bodies of water. Two cultures and two lifestyles. One 90 miles to Cuba, the other 30 miles to Canada.

I could, at any point, settle down on either location. Or, I can keep growing and expanding. There is one more location I do have in mind.

When time is of the essence we all need information that improves quality of life. Words that enlighten, inform, and entertain. Stories about your friends, your family and people you do business with; plus, photographs that inspire and tag lines that light a fire where the energy flow has become static. Video and social media posts to bring every aspect together.

This is where business meets broadcasting, broadcasting meets the beach and entrepreneurialism takes a twist.

Most of us are seeking the same information: how to see any place and situation with the perspective of Paradise, and overcome all of the obstacles we didn’t plan. There certainly have been some wild and fast ones I did not see coming.

I’ll be exercising some patience as I figure out how to work my way around my OWN NEW SITE! Business is person to person. In 2016 be ready to showcase some talents.

Remember…be humble; and at the same time also, use your gifts to shine like the tropical sun!
