My First Costa del Mars

They were a gift from Divers Direct. I wore them everywhere. I do mean everywhere.

Beyond Polzarization

From Lion Fish hunting in the Key West Harbour to early morning runs on KCB.

They took me to historic moments on top of the water and were on my face when the fresh catch was reeled in.

Besides the ocean the eyewear worked for airboat alligator tours, and holding, in the Everglades. The designers claiming, “Whether your adventure is on the water, on the mountain, or anywhere in between, with Costa you’ll see it like you never have before.

Even alligators.

The pair I wore from 2010 – 2017 are the ISABELA. I picked black frames with raspberry trim. You can design your own. I love that they can be pushed back through the hair and don’t catch.

They definitely “served me well for many adventure-filled years.” Dillard’s has just given me a new pair. I chose the GANNETT frame. They made their debut this weekend on the Lake Erie Islands. I can’t wait to show them off.

Polarized a new pair of shades

The latest piece of fashion I scored, I knew nothing about prior to them becoming mine — pair of tortoise shell Zoey sunglasses polarized with black and pink lenses.

I wanted new sunglasses, something snazzy, so this summer I began recycling, giving away and selling shades to make way.

When a store manager walked by and asked if there was anything I wanted from cosmetics or accessories I had just set the pair out to purchase that day.

Which just goes to show – the Spirit is always at work.

Score a pair at any Dillards on the mainland.

Formulated for a Goddess coconut milk with a twist of lime

Besides all of the makeup and skincare I can’t live without, my 2018 Estee Lauder Beauty Week promo Easter Basket is sans the chocolate and stocked with sunshine. I popped the entire line of Bronze Goddess into the crate of cosmetics I crave day in and day out.

The comments roll in non-stop.

“You smell like coconuts.”

“You smell like the beach.”

“You smell like suntan lotion.”

“You smell like an island.”

“Yum. What smells so delicious?”

I have Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess whipped Body Cream wiped across my wrists and up my arms, around my neck and up into my hairline.

The aroma of coconut milk juicy mandarin, lemon, Italian Bergamot and a sun-drenched blend of tropical flowers emanates from my abdomen.

I had to think after the photos were taken of me in a department store what exactly am I selling?

I can sell you the smell of coconuts. Brands, labels, scents and logos are all about the essence one embodies.

My essence engulfs a life where my business contacts suited me up, backed me up and bankrolled me to take on the Florida Keys Wreck Trek. Being bronzed by the blazing tropical sun isn’t optional. We all love cocktail conversation of an underwater adventure.

A life where I learned to hunt dinner in the clear blue sea.

Of late night parties with friends barefoot on the beach.

I could blog all day about sun, salt and business and a lifestyle where the most important accessory is a sun-kissed glow.

Of course, I smell like coconut and lime. I know how to muddle a Mojito, blend a homemade Pina Colada and prep a spiny tail for dinner. I’ve run an island resort from my high school bedroom with an envelope of blank checks.

Bronze Goddess is for the ultimate sun-kissed glow.

After a winter on the North Coast, what we’re all craving…correct? For those south of the Mason Dixon County line what we all align with — shots of endless sunshine!

From the makers: A cult classic, this adored collection features summer-perfect essentials—such as Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelée and the new Bronze Goddess Blooming Lip Balm.

Beauty Week Easter Basket Centerpiece golden serum everyone's seeking

I was stumped for this promo. Initially the centerpiece was slated to be the ReNutriv Ultimate lift Regenerating Youth Serum, the key to infinite beauty. Laced with a patented Floralixir Dew this lux beauty product has more fluff and fancy than the Easter Bunny himself donning a bow tie and glasses. Priced at three hundred and five dollars of course, this is what every person priding themselves on perfect skin wants. A product so posh, one of the rare ingredients is crushed twenty-four karat gold.

The ReNutriv Serum remains the golden centerpiece of my 2018 Estee Lauder Easter Basket. We all desire a perfect complexion. But, I also noticed I stocked my dream basket with the essence of the season and a life we are all seeking.

Josie is paid by Estee Lauder and other entities to write. The ideas and desires are her own and the content isn’t edited. FASHION NOTE: Knee-high leather boots were purchased with money from the CBS News wardrobe coffers.

Beauty Week 2018 kicks off Friday March 23 at 10 a. We will all be at Dillards Franklin Park Mall one of two luxury home goods stores on Ohio’s North Coast. The other location: Beachwood. Appointments only will be given a free Travel Size Perfectly Clean Cleanser until the stores run out. All Estee Lauder products are BOGO fifty percent off through March 29 2018.

From the east coast to the Great Lakes, the nation is under a deep freeze. Along Ohio’s coastline residents are experiencing a new record-setting frigid temperatures that have not risen above twelve degrees in weeks. True to form, I’m out playing and working in this, piecing together the Great Lakes, Winter Escape Josie in Paradise 2018 segments of real estate, hotels, hotel amenities. fashion, fitness, spas and a spoonful; plus business.

The line-up and conditions equate to lots of fur, boots, socks (three layers), hats, gloves and the creme de la creme of skin care protection.

What I’m washing my make-up off  with while standing and talking every forty minutes before I rinse, and head for some hot, sweaty yoga: Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm. This item, which retails for only forty-five dollars, cleanses at the cellular level removing environmental debris while softening the skin.  The balm is scented with lavender and chamomile and is oh so relaxing.

January 12 – 15 Estee Lauder is treating the nation to a Power Nap Facial at every counter. The scented luxury spa service includes having your face washed with the balm, followed by a spa eye treatment, and the application of your choice of serum and moisturizer. You can request the ReNutriv line I’m using laced with twenty-four carat gold, crushed pearls from the South Sea and RVF-10.

Here is why you want to take this global beauty brand up on this complimentary offer is simple.

Skincare, like exercise should be kept interesting and fun! Have a wondrous day and end to the weekend everyone. Stay warm and take advantage of the #ColderThanMars temperatures by indulging yourself in fitness for the face. The Estee Lauder Power Nap Facial is the ideal springboard for sensational winter skin.

Josie Koler is the host of Josie in Paradise, a real estate and lifestyle show, an award-winning broadcast journalist, adviser for Estee Lauder, and… there are a couple of more business elements we will be adding to this broadcast based business for 2018.

Episode II Fitness: Beach Cruiser unfurl from a fury of activity

Easy breezy summer days are exceptionally serene when approached atop a beach cruiser bicycle. There isn’t any headache over trying to find a place to park and unless earbuds are in and there isn’t a stereo to shake up the placid peace. Again and again bicycling proves to be a Shangri-la mode of transport. To shoot Episode I we ventured onto South Bass Island with a bomber aboard the ferry and headed to the town hall for Hatha Yoga with Kathi Spayde.  An effortless cruiser fits every island escape.

David Stover, the service manager at Fremont Cycle and Fitness readied the ride. “What you did was the basic which was a sixty-five dollar tune. That goes over truing the wheels, checking the shifting, putting the brakes in proper order and a light clean-up on the bike. That’s good for what you’re doing.”

Stover shared this in Josie in Paradise, Episode II about pedaling for a better fettle.

Josie in Paradise can be viewed every Sunday at 9:30 p on AT&T U-Verse from Key West to the Florida Keys, across the nation via ROKU on the Ohio X5 Channel, and here.

Josie in Paradise Episode II a fantastic north coast edition

What is even better than releasing the first episode of a new lifestyle show that showcases the talents and products of so many great people in a community is … working out a couple of kinks, ironing out imperfections and striving to be better with each release. Episode II of Josie in Paradise makes a mark of its own.

Here is who and what is featured. Cheers to everyone who participated.

Josie in Paradise can be seen on AT&T U-Verse from Key West to Boca Raton every Sunday night at 9:30 p, on Ohio’s X5 Roku Channel and here on this web page.

Price for Self-Esteem fitness not fashion ... what !?!?!

Workouts are supposed to be fun. Dress for them! During my years as a local news anchor the news director had me begin to pen a series Josie Koler’s Notebook. In Sample Script No. 4 I outline the problems I had with Mercy Medical Center touting a new program Fitness Not Fashion. Over one decade ago I write feeling appalled a health organization would encourage those who made their New Year’s Resolution to workout not to splurge on proper clothes and attire.

Au contraire I concluded making the following points:

  1. Working out produces seratonin
  2. Enchanting ensembles make one smile
  3. Exercise is an investment

In addition, the incorrect or incorrect clothing and gear is a determining factor in all sports in how easily one moves and once you work up a sweat whether or not you can keep going. Constrictive clothing and gear won’t allow one to.

Some pics Photog and Photojournalist Kim Kidinger captured this summer season. Smile, feel good, and know you can buy self-esteem. Sometimes this happens in the form of exercise gear.

My Founders Park Palace for Sale for $.5M for sale after renovations

All pictures by Travis Yednak and my personal iPhone

This home is where I first caught on that the universe gives one everything that they need. I left public life in 2012 and at the end of the year rode my bicycle around the island of Islamorada and happened upon this gem. A four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with another living room and kitchen in the downstairs enclosure, plus, a loft office. The house has been renovated since I lived here in 2013 before moving into the luxury City Loft in Cleveland. Here is a slideshow. The furnishings and furniture are atrocious and this is not what the space looked like when I occupied the rooms. But the open-floor concept and location, in a sweet little neighborhood halfway between Miami and Key West, is a seller.

Don’t you love the aquarium feature in the staircase? This place is where I met the Olympic-medal draped swim coach, Jon Olsen, at Founders Park.

The same park where I revisited my love affair with the tennis courts.

.. and swimming in the open ocean.

Unexpected, lifelong friendships were formed.

and many, many Morada Bay Full Moon parties were attended.

I designed a dress or two…

…and immersed myself into the study of theology and Catholicism.

The master bedroom was actually my yoga and fitness studio where my massage therapist would also set up.

How can you not want to live here? Get yourself a convertible and start Living the Dream! The place is for sale and needs a stylish touch to match the vibe of this posh island paradise.

Why would I ever leave…? This is also the home where I learned some believe that its ok for others to do ok, just not better than them. Success is for everyone. As I’ve just shown you there is an abundance in the universe. Go get some.

December’s Sine qua non Made in the USA boots socks, moisturizers and fur fashion

Besides my 1st Generation iPad from Holiday 2010, loaded with Kindle and The Chester Josie Style for the Home faux fireplace, (that story here) there are several fundamentals which have made my holiday on glacial ground splendrous.

For the perfect cup of cocoa I am spooning up heaping servings of Godiva Dark. I took off on nearly all of my evening hike’s with a cup. Dark chocolate is a powerful source of antioxidants. Underneath one of four pairs of boots I’m rotating I went with Made in the USA boot socks from Amelia’s Organic Legwear from The Kroger Co. They’re super soft and offer the right amount of added warmth, plus stay up! I picked a pair up in every color.

On my face I have been applying a coat of Sarah McNamara’s Skin Transformer Miracle balm on at night and again in the morning. The soothing scent is described as a warm botanical aroma. When the winds are whipping up I apply another layer of Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream on top; namely as a protective shield on my cheeks.

Note: This ointment is safe to rub on the bottom of your pup’s paws to shield from ice scrapes.

These items keep me healthy and happy when the elements have the potential to wreak havoc on an otherwise healthy system. Plus, I could never wait to get home to curl up under The Chester faux fireplace in layers of down. I added the Pedastal Space Heater by Lasko that provides 1500 watts of comforting warmth

All this and don’t forget the fur.
