ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! I’m Josie.

I spend my time away from the camera indulging in a sportaholic lifestyle, and my other passion — art and design. With the 2016 debut of Josie Style for the Home followers and fans now witness these two passions of mine mingle and mix with my on-air and journalism skills. My personal art collection is growing at lightning speed!

During my formative years, I was trained by some of the best in the business, including, CNN’s Senior White House Correspondent Jim Acosta, FOX News Channel’s Mike Tobin, and former Miami cop and WTSP anchorman Reginald Roundtree. I’m a former morning and noon anchor and show host for WHIZ (NBC) and KMEG (CBS), and a former evening anchor for KMEG (CBS) and KGAN (CBS) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I left the anchor desk and came to Florida Keys in 2009 to expand The Weekly Newspapers and Tropical Living Magazine to Key West. There I opened the nation’s Southernmost newsroom and plied my journalism and promotion skills underwater bringing the community, and the world, The Dive Report with Divers Direct. While in Key West I opened the nation’s Southernmost newsroom around the corner from the Hemingway House and introduced enterprise journalism to the county. Plus, I covered local politics, and penned some notable lifestyle and business features.

I have been involved with The American Cancer Society of the Florida Keys, Crime Stoppers of the Florida Keys, Rotary International, and am a graduate of Leadership Monroe County.

I was blessed to have been given 120 days of digital media/breaking news training with WOIO (CBS Cleveland). Most recently you’ve all seen me as the TV host for Florida Keys Television TV 88 and wearing numerous hats working for the largest developer on the Lake Erie Islands.

Live a life with purpose and get out there and play! Josie
